Senator Brent Hagenbuch has been actively addressing the recent flash flooding events in Texas through his social media presence. His posts focus on expressing solidarity with affected communities and acknowledging the efforts of those involved in rescue operations.

On July 4, Senator Hagenbuch expressed his support for those impacted by the severe weather conditions in the Hill Country and Concho Valley. He stated, “Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the devastating flash flooding in the Hill Country and Concho Valley. May God protect and guide the first responders assisting with search and rescue efforts.”

Two days later, on July 6, he shared that Governor Greg Abbott had declared a Day of Prayer for Texas in response to the floods. In his message, he urged people to join him in prayer for all those involved, saying “Governor @GregAbbott_TX has declared this Sunday, July 6th, as a Day of Prayer in Texas in response to the devastating floods in the Hill Country.” He further encouraged collective prayer for families, communities, and first responders.

On July 7, Senator Hagenbuch announced that former President Donald Trump signed a major disaster declaration for Kerr County. This action activated FEMA resources to aid recovery efforts. The senator quoted Trump regarding potential plans to visit Kerr County: “Yesterday, @realDonaldTrump signed a major disaster declaration for Kerr County today activating FEMA resources for the area.” Trump indicated his intention to visit but noted concerns about potentially hindering ongoing efforts.

The Hill Country is known for its rolling hills and scenic beauty but is also susceptible to flash flooding due to its terrain.
