Senator Brent Hagenbuch, a Republican representing Texas’s 30th Senate district since his election in 2025, has recently used social media to highlight historical events and legislative activity, as well as his engagement with local communities.
On October 2, 2025, Hagenbuch commemorated the anniversary of a significant event in Texas history. He wrote, “On October 2, 1835, a group of Texan settlers in Gonzales challenged Mexican troops in what is now known as the Battle of Gonzales. This was the first battle of the Texas Revolution.”
The following day, he expressed appreciation for community involvement by posting on October 3, 2025: “Grateful to participate in the State of the Town and Community Expo tonight hosted by @LittleElmTX and Little Elm Chamber of Commerce! It’s a privilege and honor to serve this great community!”
On October 4, 2025, Hagenbuch addressed recent state legislation related to religious law. In his tweet he stated: “I am proud of Governor @GregAbbott_TX for taking an important stand in Houston when he affirmed there is no place for Sharia Law in Texas. Earlier this year he signed into law HB4211, which I co-sponsored, to block Muslim compounds like EPIC. #txlege”
Hagenbuch succeeded Drew Springer as senator for District 30 after winning election earlier that year.
