Senator Brent Hagenbuch, a Republican representing Texas’s 30th Senate district, shared updates on his recent activities and legislative developments through a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter).
On August 22, 2025, Hagenbuch described his engagement with local leaders in Clay County: “Before heading back to Austin for session tonight, I spent time with some incredible folks at the Henrietta & Clay County Chamber of Commerce luncheon. It’s always good to visit with Clay County Memorial Hospital CEO Jim Koulovatos and Dr. T. David Greer.”
The following day, after extended legislative proceedings, he announced progress on a key bill: “After a very long day and night on the floor of the Senate, HB4 has finally passed.” Later that same day, Hagenbuch elaborated on the process and challenges surrounding the legislation: “It was a long day and a long night as we debated the ‘Big Beautiful Maps Bill.’ After a quorum break by House Democrats and countless hours of debate in both chambers, here’s a video with more of my thoughts on HB 4, which is now on the way to Governor @GregAbbott_TX! #txlege”
Hagenbuch began serving in the Texas State Senate in 2025 after being elected to represent District 30, succeeding Drew Springer.
