City of Saginaw issued the following announcement on March 18
The City of Saginaw is acting to limit the community spread of COVID‐19 while also listening closely to local businesses who are attempting to adapt during this difficult time. The Saginaw community has adhered to the recently implemented social distancing measures, and we, thankfully, have not yet had community spread of COVID‐19 in Saginaw. However, there continues to be community spread of COVID‐19 throughout North Texas and the rest of the country, and the City of Saginaw is taking additional steps to minimize the risk to our community.
The City of Saginaw is adhering to emergency Disaster Declaration established for all of Tarrant County. Starting Thursday, March 19th , the City of Saginaw will be:
- Limiting the gathering of persons to no more than 50 people and mandates the cancellation of such gatherings of more than 50 people until further notice.
- A restaurant with or without drive‐in or drive‐through services; drive in restaurant; drive‐through restaurant or microbrewery, micro‐distillery, or winery may only provide take out, delivery, or drive‐in or drive‐through services if permitted by law.
- Bars, lounges, taverns, commercial amusement establishments, bingo halls, theaters, gyms and private clubs will be required to close.
