Wichita Falls businesses are hoping to restart the city's economy after the COVID-19 shutdowns by having online sales Thursday through Saturday.

“Our regular stream of customers is not back yet,” Jan Saville, owner of Hello Again, told News Channel 6

Businesses that are participating in the sales will have between 10% to 30% off different items. Hello Again and several other businesses have seen a drop in in-person customers and are hoping the online discounts through the Kickstart the Falls program will boost sales.

“There are those I know (who are) a little conservative and just want to wait this out a little while longer," Saville told News Channel 6.

To help with sales, businesses have joined together to promote items.

“There’s been a lot of collaborations formed and just seeing everyone get together and support each other and cross-promote each other so I think even though this was unexpected and unfortunate that we’re having to go through this last couple of months I think everyone will come out stronger because we’re so committed to that vision,” Jana Schmader, Downtown Wichita Falls Development executive director, told News Channel 6.
