Small businesses applying for a Small Business Administration (SBA) disaster loan have until Aug. 24 to do so.
Tanya Garfield, director of the SBA, reminded businesses in Montaque County that the loans aren't just for small businesses either, she said in an SBA press release. Any size business, homeowners, renters and private nonprofits can also apply for a disaster loan to help with any damage that took place during the sever storms on May 22.
Residents in Clay and Jack counties can also apply for disaster loans.
Businesses and nonprofits can apply for up to $2 million, while homeowners and renters can apply for up to $200,000 for real estate or up to $40,000 to repair or replace property that was damaged during the storm.
Interest rates will vary, but businesses can receive a rate as low as 3% and homeowners and rents can see a rate as low as 1.25%.
The application can be found online and more information on the loans can be found at the SBA's Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 or my emailing disastercustomerservice@sba.gov.
