City of Vernon recently issued the following announcement.

Join us for the 2nd Annual Munchkins on Main in Downtown Vernon. This event includes a trunk-or-treat down Main Street (pending TxDOT approval) and door to door trick or treating among participating businesses. You can also take a Main Street District "Fall Into the Holidays" decor tour. We will wrap up the event with a walking costume parade along Main Street from Maiden to Wilbarger. Please know that as of today this event is a Go, but due to COVID-19, the event could be cancelled at any moment. We are hoping for the best! Register to have a decorated trunk in the Trunk-or-Treat by contacting Amanda Lehman with the City of Vernon Main Street Department at 940-552-2564 ext. 301 between 8am-4pm M-F before October 23rd. Registration to have a trunk in the event is $5. 1st - 3rd place decorated trunks will receive a trophy and their picture on Social Media.
