North Texas Regional Director for the Republican Party of Texas Troy Jackson was protesting at the Stop the Steal Rally on Dec. 19 in Dallas.

“The number-one concern right now is election integrity, trying to make sure we have fair and honest elections,” Jackson said.

Jackson said the supporters of the Stop the Steal movement are bringing light to election issues to ensure only legal votes are counted and that elections are “fair and honest” going forward.

“For us, it’s not so much about who won, but making sure that every election is fair and honest,” he said. “Because if you have dead people voting and all this weird stuff going on, and ballots showing up in the middle of the night, that does not leave room to say that we’re having fair and honest elections. We just want all of the elections to be fair and honest. And we want only the legal votes counted.”

Jackson said citizens need to put pressure on leaders in Congress to investigate the alleged election problems.

“[T]hey have a job to do right now, following the Constitution, when it comes to the Electoral College, when it comes to the way the the president is placed in the office, they have a job to do with those things. And they have yet to do that. They’re too busy spreading rhetoric about ‘what I believe happened, what I don’t believe happened.’ Who cares? Follow the rule of law, follow the Constitution so that we can get the response that we need,” he said.

Jackson said ordinary people should be active in the movement.

“You have to get involved. You have to educate yourself, you have to be informed, you have to know what the issues are, then you have to educate yourself on the issues so that you can articulate the issues,” he said.
