Baylor County ranked 211th among counties in Texas by annual earnings per resident, according to data obtained from the U.S. Census Bureau.

The median income of Baylor County residents was $21,628 per year, adjusted for inflation. It had 1,474 households with a population of 3,591.

The county with the highest median resident income in the state was Collin County with $45,254 per year after adjusting for inflation – $23,626 more than Baylor County. It had 331,336 households with a population of 944,350.

The county with the lowest median resident income in the state was Starr County with $13,459 per year after adjusting for inflation – $8,169 less than Baylor County. It had 16,238 households with a population of 63,894.
