Saint Jo ISD welcomed 322 students in 2021-22 school year

There were 322 students enrolled in Saint Jo ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.9% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 52.2% of them were boys, and 47.8% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 85.7% of the Saint Jo ISD total enrollment.

Saint Jo ISD roughly covers schools within Montague County with its main office in Saint Jo.

Among the two schools in Saint Jo ISD, Saint Jo Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 177 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
