Enrollment at Henrietta ISD schools increased by 4.1% compared to previous school year

There were 945 students enrolled in Henrietta ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 4.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 53% of them were boys, and 47% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 86.3% of the Henrietta ISD total enrollment.

Henrietta ISD roughly covers schools within Clay County with its main office in Henrietta.

Among the three schools in Henrietta ISD, Henrietta Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 435 students in the 2021-22 school year.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
