There were 131 students enrolled in Midway ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 54.2% of them were girls, and 45.8% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 93.9% of the Midway ISD total enrollment.

Midway ISD roughly covers schools within Clay County with its main office in Henrietta.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
