Enrollment Analysis: white students comprised 80.1% of Perrin-Whitt CISD schools' student body in 2021-22 school year

There were 258 white students enrolled in Perrin-Whitt CISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 0.8% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Perrin-Whitt CISD schools welcomed 322 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 80.1% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Perrin-Whitt CISD roughly covers schools within Jack County and has a main office in Perrin.

Among the two schools in Perrin-Whitt CISD schools, Perrin High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 134 students.

Education in Texas is often a hot button issue, especially as test scores lag behind other states.

"The problems commonly cited are flaws in the school financing system, relatively low teacher salary, poor test performance by students... dropouts from traditional schools in favor of charter schools... gun violence, and mental health issues," claimed the Texas Almanac.
