Enrollment Analysis: multiracial students comprised 4.2% of Gold Burg ISD schools' student body in 2021-22 school year

There were six multiracial students enrolled in Gold Burg ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 25% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Gold Burg ISD schools welcomed 144 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 4.2% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Gold Burg ISD roughly covers schools within Montague County and has a main office in Bowie.

Gold Burg School was the only school in the district which enrolled multiracial students, welcoming six students in the 2021-22 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
