Burkburnett ISD schools Education: 2,138 white students were enrolled in schools in 2021-22 school year

There were 2,138 white students enrolled in Burkburnett ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Burkburnett ISD schools welcomed 3,314 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 64.5% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Burkburnett ISD roughly covers schools within Wichita County and has a main office in Burkburnett.

Among the seven schools in Burkburnett ISD schools, Burkburnett High School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 566 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
