There were 15 American Indian students enrolled in City View ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 6.3% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that City View ISD schools welcomed 1,121 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 1.3% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

City View ISD roughly covers schools within Wichita County and has a main office in Wichita Falls.

Among the three schools in City View ISD schools, City View Junior/Senior High School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of eight students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
