Windthorst ISD Education: 527 students were enrolled in schools in 2022-23 school year

There were 527 students enrolled in Windthorst ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 0.6% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.2% of them were girls, and 47.8% were boys.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 74% of the Windthorst ISD total enrollment.

Windthorst ISD roughly covers schools within Archer County with its main office in Windthorst.

Among the three schools in Windthorst ISD, Windthorst Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of 262 students in the 2022-23 school year.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
