Enrollment Analysis: American Indian students comprised 0.6% of Holliday ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were seven American Indian students enrolled in Holliday ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 22.2% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Holliday ISD schools welcomed 1,137 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, American Indian students comprised 0.6% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Holliday ISD roughly covers schools within Archer County and has a main office in Holliday.

Among the three schools in Holliday ISD schools, Holliday Middle School recorded the highest enrollment of American Indian students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of three students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
