There were 225 Hispanic students enrolled in Munday CISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 5.1% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Munday CISD schools welcomed 409 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 55% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Munday CISD roughly covers schools within Knox County and has a main office in Munday.

Among the two schools in Munday CISD schools, Munday Secondary recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 120 students.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
