Enrollment Analysis: multiracial students comprised 3.2% of Nocona ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 26 multiracial students enrolled in Nocona ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 16.1% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Nocona ISD schools welcomed 804 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, multiracial students comprised 3.2% of the student body to be one of the least represented ethnicities in the district.

Nocona ISD roughly covers schools within Montague County and has a main office in Nocona.

Among the three schools in Nocona ISD schools, Nocona Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of multiracial students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 13 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
