Enrollment Analysis: Hispanic students comprised 11.6% of Electra ISD schools' student body in 2022-23 school year

There were 53 Hispanic students enrolled in Electra ISD schools in the 2022-23 school year, 14.5% less than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Data showed that Electra ISD schools welcomed 456 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 11.6% of the student body to be one of the most represented ethnicities in the district.

Electra ISD roughly covers schools within Wichita County and has a main office in Electra.

Among the two schools in Electra ISD schools, Electra Junior/Senior High School recorded the highest enrollment of Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year, with a total of 27 students.

Texas is found to be one of the least-educated states in the U.S. A study from WalletHub ranked Texas 41st out of 50 states in terms of the quality of the educational system and how successful students were.

More than 5.4 million students are enrolled in public schools across Texas. Nearly one million of them live in rural areas where options for local public schools are few and far between.
