There were 3,314 students enrolled in Burkburnett ISD schools in the 2021-22 school year, 3.6% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 51.1% of them were boys, and 48.9% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 64.5% of the Burkburnett ISD total enrollment.

Burkburnett ISD roughly covers schools within Wichita County with its main office in Burkburnett.

Among the seven schools in Burkburnett ISD, Burkburnett High School recorded the highest enrollment of 861 students in the 2021-22 school year.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
